About BeadDraft

BeadDraft turns a photo or a short piece of text into an editable fuse-bead pattern — a grid you can compare, protect, simplify and print. It is built and operated by Clooms, an independent digital-product company (Boulder, Colorado, USA), the same company behind a portfolio of focused web utilities.

What it is

A free tool that runs in your browser. There is no account, no upload of your images, and no paid step to reveal a result. You choose a photo or type a word, pick a size, and the tool samples it into a bead grid you can edit and export as a printable chart, a bead list and an editable backup.

Color data and attribution

New patterns use 103 colors matched to Perler fuse beads, from the community-maintained maxcleme/beadcolors dataset. Color data is licensed under the MIT License, copyright (c) 2020 maxcleme. The pattern matcher, bead list and PDF use the same color snapshot.

Brand names, color names and references are used only to identify compatible colors. BeadDraft is not affiliated with or endorsed by Perler or Hama. This community dataset is not an official brand catalog. Check on-screen shades against your physical beads; material finishes and availability vary. Older imported projects retain their original custom colors.

How we work

The guides on this site describe exactly what the tool does — how it matches colors, what its simplify and protect features change, and, just as importantly, what it does not promise. Where a claim cannot be verified against the tool or a printed sheet, it is left out. If you find something inaccurate, tell us and we will correct it; email support@beaddraft.com.
